XBrew Lab is betting that nitro coffee should be as easy as brewing a pot at home.

At CES 2026, the company unveiled EverNitro, a countertop nitro beverage machine that ditches single-use gas cartridges and instead pulls nitrogen straight from the air in your kitchen.

Nitro coffee without the cartridges

Nitro coffee is essentially cold brew infused with nitrogen gas. Those tiny bubbles give it a creamy, Guinness-like texture and a naturally sweeter, less bitter taste — which is why it’s become a staple in third-wave coffee shops.

The problem: most consumer nitro systems rely on disposable cartridges or bulky kegs. EverNitro positions itself as a cleaner, cheaper long-term alternative to cartridge-based competitors like NitroBrew.

“We offer the quality of a commercial tap with the footprint of a coffee maker. While others sell you gas, we give you technology to harvest it for free,” founder and CEO Terry Tan said at the show.

Instead of selling you a lifetime of cartridges, EverNitro generates nitrogen on demand from the surrounding air. XBrew Lab claims 95% nitrogen purity, which is high enough to deliver that dense, cascading nitro pour without the waste stream of single-use canisters.

Compact machine, flexible use

The EverNitro unit is roughly the size of a standard coffee maker, small enough to live on a counter or tuck onto a shelf when it’s not in use. A removable canister holds your liquid of choice: cold brew coffee, cocktails, or other drinks that benefit from added body and texture.

Users can dial in the pressure between 0 and 8 BAR, depending on whether they’re aiming for a gentle cascade or something closer to a stout-style pour. From loading the canister to drinking the finished beverage, the process takes just a few minutes.

A companion app rounds out the system with status updates and basic connectivity, though XBrew Lab is clearly betting that the hardware, not the software, is the main draw here.

Crowdfunded launch and pricing

EverNitro quietly launched on Kickstarter in October and has already raised over $570,000, signaling strong demand among home baristas and cocktail tinkerers willing to pay for a premium gadget.

The lineup breaks down like this:

  • EverNitro Lite: $470 retail for the machine and one canister (Kickstarter backers pay $290).
  • EverNitro Pro: $583 retail (or $337 for backers) for the machine, two canisters, a coffee bean preservation jar, and whipped cream kits.

That’s not cheap for a single-purpose appliance, but it undercuts some existing options. A comparable countertop unit from NitroBrew, for instance, runs around $1,000.

Beyond coffee

XBrew Lab clearly sees EverNitro as a first step rather than a one-off product. Looking ahead, Tan said the team is “exploring how gases can fundamentally elevate the texture of all beverages, not just coffee. Imagine a machine that doesn’t just dispense; it intelligently mixes a cocktail or brews a coffee and then automatically selects the perfect gas profile to enhance its body and mouthfeel.”

For now, EverNitro is a niche play aimed at people who care enough about nitro texture to invest in dedicated hardware. But if the Kickstarter momentum holds, it’s a sign that bar-quality nitro drinks might finally be moving from specialty cafés to the kitchen counter.
