In countries like Germany or France, rolling out a dashboard that ranks employees by AI usage would almost certainly trigger co‑determination and privacy discussions.

The upcoming EU AI Act also nudges companies toward risk‑based thinking. If employees are routinely pasting customer data, source code or HR information into general‑purpose models, that crosses into high‑risk territory and demands documentation, safeguards, and in some cases impact assessments.

There is also a competitiveness angle.
